Tottenham have been charged by the FA following Monday’s ill-tempered clash with Chelsea.
Mousa Dembele is also likely to face a hefty ban following the FA’s decision to charge the Belgian midfielder for his alleged involvement in an eye-gouge on Diego Costa.
The FA describe the standard three match ban as being ‘insufficient’ for the incident. Suggestions have been made that the 28 year old could face up to 10 matches on the sidelines.
Danny Rose elected to apologise for the team’s conduct following the team’s 2-2 draw.
The result saw Spurs miss out on the opportunity to win a first Premier League title, as they received a record nine yellow cards.
